The theme will be "Hot Times".
In the Northern Hemisphere summer is coming,
in the Southern Hemisphere they may need things to warm up for winter.
Write about hot (or warm) stuff from either angle.
Appropriate for our BlogFire Team!
Hot times for us mid-west coastal Floridians came when a good part of this country was looking forward to spring. Air conditioners running in our cars and homes, shorts, flip flops, bare feet, beaches, outdoor showers, swimming pools, sunscreen, and raking leaves.
However "lucky" and agreed blessed we are to live where we do...my spirit called for those who were seeing the end of the dirty snow piled along street sides, tiny sprouts of green ever surviving, seeking sunshine, warmth, and unfrozen ground with which to begin a new earthly cycle.
Spring gardens, repairs, changing outfits, get together's, graduations, birth, the sweet smell of new air and mowed grass.

Spending a couple of hours using a leaf blower over the holiday weekend, I was able to clean almost completely around the pool, the patio/courtyard area, and into the backyard wearing my bathing suit. Turning purple from the heat, strain on damaged body parts, and thirst eventually drove me into the cold downpour of our outside shower.
First a leg, arm...little parts at a time until completely engulfed by the luscious waterfall cooling me in the sunshine to the point of chill. Yet, a chill of accomplishment and relief, one of "please get me a chair". Washing hair and body, the rest of this shower was a non-eco friendly (for the overuse of water) treat. Pure, exhilarated enjoyment (me and the grass/plants).

There is much left to do "out there", but knowing what to expect is helping the procrastination side of me that would rather not do yard work in "Hot Times".
